I am a 2D artist who has a particular love for the Sci-fi and fantasy genres. Through expressive shape language I hope to create unique characters with illustrative personalities.
Brooke Rodda is a visual artist specializing in character art and design. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Emerging Media: Experimental Animation from the University of Central Florida, where she developed her skills in animation using both 2D and 3D mediums. With the use of a variety of traditional and digital mediums, Brooke navigates her passion for character design through expressive shape language and dynamic gesture sketches. Brooke is from Jacksonville and is currently based in Orlando, Florida. During her collegiate endeavors, Brooke has had her work in exhibitions like UCF Celebrates the Arts and UCF’s Art Knight in addition to gaining professional certification in Adobe After Effects.
As a neurodivergent artist, Brooke has a particular interest in conveying meaning through body language. This helps add depth to her designs and creates opportunities for viewers to make connections with her characters. The emotions conveyed through silent scenes that rely solely on character movement particularly piques her interest and is something that she considers when creating her own work.
