A bronze halberd a symbol of civilizational change
This film is another important step in bringing Europe's prehistory closer. This fictionalized document is a kind of story - a journey through the lands of Poland and Europe about 4,000 years ago, which directly translates into its high cognitive and educational value. Thanks to the locations, set design, reconstructors, 3D animation, precisely planned frames, we see a world that has long since ceased to exist. The time we are talking about is the transition from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age, i.e. from the age of the use of stone to the age of the first metal used on a large scale in the history of mankind. During this period, there was a rapid technological and civilizational leap, the standard and quality of life significantly increased, and the very way societies functioned changed. There has been a clear enrichment of people. Bronze products, which began to function in everyday life, became an external symbol of social status and a sign of wealth. The starting point for the film are burial mounds with bronze items found in them - the so-called burial mounds. princely graves from the village of Łęki Małe near Kościan in Poland, also functioning as "Wielkopolskie Pyramids". In well-equipped burials, archaeologists found ornaments made of gold, amber and bronze, including the "dagger-like sceptres" of the title, very impressive and characteristic of the Unietic culture. Sceptres made of bronze are the starting point for the film, which will tell about the beginnings and evolution of the Bronze Age in the lands of today's Poland and Europe, presenting at the same time rarely shown in the film, extremely impressive finds from this period made of bronze and gold. In the film, we will try to present all the latest knowledge related to this part of our ancient history in order to present to all of us the history of the ancient inhabitants of today's Poland and Europe, along with their material culture, including the Nebra Disc.
