Broken Night
After spending her night at a bar, Luisa (26), a self-empowered women, invites Antonio (27) to her place. Nevertheless, the night will be interrupted to Luisa when Antonio decides to not listen to her. Later that night, Luisa goes back to the bar where Antonio is and confronts him.

Esteban Garita, licentiate in cinema and television at Véritas University, with specialization in scriptwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CDMX). His first fiction shortfilm "INSTINTO" won jury prize for best costarican shortfilm at the Ludico, 2018 and Shnit Playground San José, 2018. It was also official selection at the Brussels Shortfilm Festival, 2019, and winner of the French Television Award at the Torino Short Film Market 2018. He has taken instensive international workshops with several cinema professionals such as: Ariadna Ribas, editor (España, 2017), Marija Fridinovaite (Latvia, 2019). At this time, he is in distribution of his next documentary shortfilm, Moviles and developing his next fiction project.
Besides his interest in cinema carreer, Esteban also plays as a bassist with the national band Dylan Thomas..
This shortfilm navegates through the long-sequence the fragility of consent and how easily it can be broken. It shows a night that seems to be going well and how in a matter of seconds is transformed into a violent and normalized situation.
