Broken Birds

Broken Birds displays a bird's-eye view on the heart-wrenching disappointments of on-line dating. Lita is devastated after an upsetting break up over the phone; she desperately tries to figure out what she did wrong and how she could've remedied the situation. Her best friend, Vern, delivers tough love and a real wake up call to mend Lita's pain and distress.

Director Biography - Angela Lambru

Angela Lambru has been involved in film, radio and stage for many years, mostly in front of the camera.  She has credits as an actor, voice over artist, theater, and dance as well as producing and choreographing dance productions.  Angela also enjoys writing and has two online publications.  She made her directorial debut with Descarado, a music video in 2018. Broken Birds is her first short film.  She looks forward to learning and growing as a director and being part of this film festival.

Director Statement

Broken Birds is a story most of us are familiar with. It is about heartache and friendship and how women support each other. What struck me about being a part of this film as a whole is the power of women; a story about women, written by a woman and directed by one. I am grateful for the experience!
