Director Biography - Peter Koevari

Peter is an award-winning screenwriter, director, producer, and academy director of FilmLab Academy, from Brisbane, Australia.

His works are influenced by genre-filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, John Woo, and David Fincher. He has worked on many independent projects and is best known for the sci-fi short film 3 (2022), web-series Diana (2022), and is working on new productions, a cyberpunk short film, 'Quantum Ride', and horror short film, 'Lucky Devil', both due to hit festivals in 2023.

"I write and create films not because I can, but because I must. I believe in excellence, originality, and entertaining the audience. Although I'm based in Australia, I have always had a global mindset. I believe that stories need to be globally distributable, for them to truly succeed. Great films are made with strong planning, quality processes, great casting, a strong team, and a safe, happy, and supportive environment. Great stories are written by ensuring that the principals of drama and key elements of compelling storytelling are met. My dreams are to build more platforms and opportunities for the film industry and make globally distributable products with strong return on investment to enable more creative projects to be born and seen through to conception."

Director Statement

This film represents the culmination of my journey as a filmmaker, pushing the boundaries of emotional storytelling while defying conventional expectations. Within its narrative, we explore confronting themes that challenge our collective morality, navigating the complex landscape of modern challenges in our world.

While I won't reveal too much about these themes, I can assure you that the film does not contain any sexual violence, there is only the threat of it. Instead, it delves into aspects of our humanity that may leave audiences questioning their perspectives.

Navigating this challenging space was made possible by an exceptional cast and crew, all committed to bringing this vision to life despite the constraints of a tiny budget. The limitations fueled our creativity, resulting in an extraordinary cinematic experience that goes beyond the financial constraints.

This film is not just a story; it's a conversation starter. It prompts viewers to reflect on their own morality and confront the pressing issues of our time. With a unique blend of emotion and surprise, it is my hope that the film sparks discussions that extend beyond the theater, leaving a lasting impact on those who experience it.
