One of the biggest Film Market in the United Kingdom!
Each year, the British Films Market (BFM) Expo transforms London into a hub where global distributors and independent filmmakers converge to make deals, share ideas, and find new opportunities for collaboration. It's a prime destination for filmmakers seeking distribution and a home for their projects, as well as for distributors scouting fresh, unique content from around the world.

Once your project is submitted, it is guaranteed a screening slot at BFM 2025! Your film will be shown in an intimate 40-seat cinema at the Curzon Cinema, creating a perfect setting to showcase your work. Both British and international productions are welcome to participate.
If, for any reason, your project is not selected for screening, rest assured that a full refund will be issued.
Please note that once we reach the maximum number of films that can be screened in a particular category, we will automatically close submissions for that category, even if the official deadline has not passed. This ensures that we can provide the best possible screening experience for all selected films, as well as manage the schedule effectively. We encourage filmmakers to submit their projects early to secure a spot in their desired category.

BFM stands apart by being held in conjunction with the renowned Breaking-TV Film Festival and DocuWorld Film Festival. This collaboration amplifies the event’s reach, creating a wider stage for selected films to be screened before influential audiences, including distributors and film enthusiasts alike.

After each screening at the British Films Market, filmmakers will have a dedicated 10-minute session for Questions and Answers (Q&A). This provides a unique opportunity for the audience, including industry professionals and fellow creatives, to engage directly with the filmmakers, explore the creative process, and gain deeper insights into the vision behind the projects. These sessions foster meaningful connections and discussions, creating a collaborative atmosphere that celebrates the art of filmmaking.

Spanning three exciting days, the BFM features engaging film screenings, an expansive expo, and the celebrated Breaking-TV Film Festival Awards Ceremony. These events offer unparalleled networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with decision-makers and like-minded professionals while exploring the latest trends in film and distribution.

All filmmakers submitting their projects for screening at the British Films Market 2025 are required to provide a DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format of their film via post—online transfers will not be accepted. The cinema requires the DCP file for testing purposes, which must be completed at least four weeks before the scheduled screening. If you are based in the UK, you also have the option to personally drop off your DCP file at the cinema for testing. It is the filmmaker's responsibility to ensure the DCP file is delivered on time. Failure to do so may result in your project not being screened. Detailed mailing and drop-off instructions will be provided upon acceptance.
