Charis Tshihamba is a BFA trained screenwriter, primarily in television comedy. She co-founded Women Aren’t Funny Productions, and co-created several shows for the company. She was a staff writer for the Seasick Studios sitcom, Parallel (seen on Amazon Prime). Scenes from her YouTube-based web-series, The Progressive Lady have garnered millions of viewers via TikTok. Her short film, Campy Spy Musical received many festival awards, and her most recent short film, Take My Hand, produced by Bailey + Co Productions, has been doing well in the black film festival circuit. Her stage plays, Who Donut? and Old Man Money, both premiered in Hollywood theaters in 2023.
I believe my purpose on this Earth is to bring people joy. The best way I can do that is through the art of comedy.
