Brighton Rocks International Film Festival (BRIFF) is now accepting submissions for its 7th edition. BRIFF is a young festival with big ambitions – to become the UK’s main forum for independent cinema. The city of Brighton is a mecca for artists and creatives from all walks of life. It is also a state of mind, an attitude, a spirit: one that dares to be itself. If your film embodies our ideals and aspirations, we will help it get the recognition it deserves! When you submit to Brighton Rocks, we pledge that your film will be reviewed by professionals with TLC. Our primary concern is how best to curate and screen your work.

** Brighton Rocks is a BIFA-qualifying festival. **

The 7th Annual Festival will take place over six days (25 - 30 June 2024) in iconic Brighton venues: DUKES AT KOMEIDA, THE ACTORS and ALPHABET (formally RIALTO). In addition to multiple screenings, attendees will enjoy talks, networking sessions and the chance to socialise with fellow filmmakers in Brighton. Please see our website (www.rocksfestivals.com/screenings) for the latest information.

OFFICIAL SELECTIONS will be notified on or before 24 May 2024.
The SCREENING SCHEDULE will be published on 2 June 2024 (or earlier).

Every detail, from the scheduling to the venue selection, was orchestrated with precision, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. The dedicated team behind Brighton Rocks Film Festival went above and beyond to create an environment conducive to inspiration, interaction, and the celebration of the different featured arts. This was our second year at Brighton Rocks, and it was a great experience on every level. Nothing is too much trouble for James, Sarah and their tireless team. We were very happy and honoured to be selected - especially as Brighton Rocks is now (rightly!) a BIFA qualifying festival. We’re already looking forward to watching their ace selection of films in the quirky venues of bohemian Brighton next year! Many thanks for our award for ‘Out Damned Spot’!

  • We had a fantastic time premiering our film at BRIFF! From the moment we got in, everyone was easy to work with and the communication was clear. The actual fest was full of excited artist and lent itself to a lot of networking and opportunity to see who others are doing it. The organizers facilitated a great experience at the theatre and the after parties. We are so grateful for the Best Screenplay Award! Hope to be able to screen again soon!

  • The guys at BRIFF - James, Sarah, Mark were all so welcoming and accommodating. I really enjoyed being a part of the festival. After a year of submissions and selections it was my first time seeing Ghosted in a festival situation. Keep up the great work x
