Bridget Farr is an analogue film artist working on 16mm and 35mm film.
She holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and an Honours Degree in the Photographic Arts. Her films were selected and screened over 100 times at film festivals around the world including the Ann Arbour Film Festival, Images Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, European Media Arts Festival, and the BBC British Short Film Festival.
Her photographic work has toured internationally and exhibited alongside masters such as Annie Liebovitz and at events including Oprah’s Life Your Best Life tour.
In 2007, Bridget became involved with the with the Burundi Film Centre, working on-site to help launch this media training centre.
In 2013, the Canadian Film Institute recognized her work in experimental filmmaking by honouring her work with a retrospective.
In early 2020, she co-founded the Lightproof Film Collective, creating new works with other film-based artists. Bridget lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her husband and children.
