Brian Floats
Brian Floats is an emerging artist breaking the boundaries of what it means to paint. Brian’s performative art involves him jumping 12 feet into the air on a trampoline to reach his canvas. To get to this point in his career, Brian started in China painting meticulous pieces of buildings and landscapes. During this time, he craved a more freeing version of art. He invented his trampoline performance to get away from the pressure of his former art work. Thus began his journey of moving to Venice and meeting Jim Budman, his mentor and close friend who helped him gain the traction he needed to begin his new style of painting. Now, he performs his trampoline art in Budman Studio while fellow artists and art enthusiasts watch. He enjoys surrendering to his process and feeling the fun of his art rather than worrying about the details.
This short documentary is all about the importance of fun and inspires people of all ages to prioritize play.
