Breathe
Knife Crime in the UK is at an all time high. In this film our lead goes on a journey from being in a small gang, to finding a new way - something that gives his consciousness peace.
The whole journey is narrated by a rapper, who is also delivering a breathing exercise.
The words are delivered in rap and spoken forms, but mostly this is about the visuals and the music.
As much as anything else, this is a community project and any winnings will go towards the project again, as it is not-for-profits.

This is the first screenplay I've done. But I have appeared in rap videos before. Sahir has shot plenty of videos and corporate work.
Myself and Sahir have never directed a "film", but we felt that this song and subject matter needed some screen action. We also wanted to show the character "arc", and all within 5 mins with little or no dialouge.
We sourced friends and amateur actors we knew and did it all on virtually no budget. So far the response is very good, but we want this project to get more exposure because it's a serous subject..
