Raised in Detroit, Vincent is a writer & filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He studied folklore & anthropology alongside film at USC School of Cinematic Arts. Drawn to introspective tales & fables, he writes and creates stories centered on characters of color in non-traditional circumstances, stressing the broad cultural experiences of the African diaspora and beyond. Most notably, his short film Tar Man, inspired by an Afro-folktale, has screened at festivals in New York & Los Angeles. He is currently in his final year at USC and a fellow of Prentice Penny’s A Penny For Your Thoughts First Up Television Writing Fellowship. His goal is to create shows & become showrunner.
