Breaking the Ice

In 2018 when our PM Sh Narender Modiji tweeted and congratulated a girl from Himachal Pradesh who has brought first Bronze medal to India in Skiing. She was not expecting that she will get a warm welcome in her country for her achievement because this was the sport which was not even recognized in India. After her victory now everyone is serious about this sport. Dicky Dolma who was the youngest girl to climb Mount Everest in 1993 has also inspired many girls towards adventure sports. Bhuvneshvari Thakur who was winning gold medal in National championship for ten years is now training young children for this sport. Sandhya Thakur is the budding Skier dreaming to be at the top of this sport. These four women has given new heights to adventure sports and inspiring other girls to dream big.

Directed five documentaries, one short film. Mohra is Director’s Debut Feature film. Won National Human Rights commission award for Documentary Film ‘Behind the Bars’ based on Prisoners reforms in Himachal and NHRC also mentioned No Woman’s Land Documentary film based on struggle of tribal women in Himachal about Ancestral Property Rights. Four published Books in her credit. Founder member of International Film Festival of Shimla. Freelance writer and writes editorials, features, poems and stories for various journals and literary magazines.
