Director Biography - Nathan Patrick Hughes

Nathan is an actor, writer and director from Northern Ireland. He is the owner of independent production company CAMEO PICS. As a law graduate he has a background in criminal and mental health advocacy which inspired him to write crime stories for television. THE APPROPRIATE ADULT is a crime anthology series which he is currently developing with NI Screen's New Writers Focus Scheme and co-producer Rea Johnston. BREACH is Nathan's first short film as a writer and director- it is based on the opening scene of THE APPROPRIATE ADULT Episode 1.

Director Statement

I aim to tell captivating, original stories that create a shock reaction in the audience. I am particularly interested in writing and directing true crime, thrillers, suspense and horror. As a member of the LGTBQ community I aim to give queer characters a voice in mainstream media.
