Brave Girls

Teenage athletes struggle against social conventions. Will they manage to overcome the oppressive environment and achieve their own self-identity?

In August 2015 Israel hosted the junior woman Football Euroleague Championship. As a host, the Israeli team had an historic chance to compete against Europe’s finest national teams. In preparation, Girls aged 18-15 were selected from around the country, to live and train in Wingate sports academy campus. These girls represent a country where woman sports are under supported and barely acceptable.
