Lucas Muratore’s parents told him he was named after George Lucas, so he grew up loving the Star Wars prequels, trade sanctions and all. You could often find Lucas and his friends in his backyard acting out lightsaber battles on “Tatooine” and embarking on the unending quest to become true Jedis. When not geeking out by making space operas, Lucas' goal as a filmmaker is to make people laugh and cry, all at the same time. He tends to gravitate towards stories which explore the magnitude of making the right decision against all odds, much like The Breakfast Club, Rogue One, and Submarine. Lucas is a graduate student at Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts specializing in producing.
"I grew up loving Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, and Indiana Jones, but looking back I kept wondering why there was never a female protagonist. I think that it's important for young boys to be exposed to strong women. And additionally for young women to have strong role models in fantasy and science-fiction. When I think back to all the lessons I learned from watching these movies like being true to oneself, not giving into the Darkside, or simply always being mindful of those around you, I would hate for a child to not be exposed to these messages because they don't see themselves being represented. Bounty aims to target those children who want to make the world a better place."
