Bongeziwe Mabandla “Bawo Wam”
South African musician, Bongeziwe Mabandla shares the official music video for his latest single “Bawo Wam”. Shot in black and white featuring stunning double exposed footage, the visuals perfectly accompany the song’s powerful Xhosa message.
“Bawo Wam, like most of the album deals with transition and spiritually”, says Bongeziwe. “I’m a more hopeful and thankful mindset and it shows in the album. The song deals with a reflection on the past, and the many times that a guiding force has been present throughout. The song is a celebration of the many unseen miraculous event that occurred. It’s a song about gratitude and hope.”
The song and video feature lyricist and producer Spoek Mathambo. The collaboration between Spoek and Bongeziwe has resulted in “Bawo Wam” becoming a fan favourite across the world.
