I am a film student from Adelaide, South Australia. After leaving high school I originally went down the path of pursuing a career in environmental science but realised, despite a love of nature, I had no passion for the kind of work involved in the field of science. I have always been obsessed with the stories told through film and television and the passion I have for this pursuit is strong and I am confident that this is what I want to do.
Having walked by and watched Bobo in Rundle Mall regularly on my way to classes, I quickly grew to wonder about her story particularly since the passing of her husband Max. Elderly people are often not listened to in society, more so elderly immigrants, but you could just sense with Bobo that there was a fascinating story to tell. As a student this project did have a lot of limitations and it was a great challenge to tell her story as efficiently as I could while still capturing the essence of her. I am proud of what I was able to make and see it as a tribute to the Adelaide icon that is Bobo.
