Aden Karp, a current sophomore at Columbia University, is a passionate artist, driven by the art of visual storytelling. Aden has a background in theatre and acting, and has made the transition to filmmaking in his directorial debut, "Blue". As an artist from Miami, Florida, Aden wants his work to resonate with as many people as possible, sparking conversation, debate, and thought about ourselves and the world around us.

Director Statement

"Blue", in its essence, pays homage to the often under appreciated in life. The impetus being the question of “why is it that we perpetually chase goals that seem so paramount at a given time yet, once achieved, seem trivial without anyone, simply, at the dinner table?” "Blue" pays tribute to these ideals told as long as time: family, unity, love in its truest form—and life without it—through a climactic storyline that would only occur in the tumultuous mind of the individual experiencing it.
