Blossoming: A Beautiful Journey of Kids with Down Syndrome and Art

This documentary primarily presents a usual weekend of Fei Fei, a kid with Down syndrome who has been taking charity calligraphy classes for over six years. The documentary also includes many interviews with her classmates, parents, and teachers, which illustrates the influence that calligraphy class makes on these special kids and people who care about them as well as the hope it might bring to society in general.

Director Biography - Xicheng Gu

Xicheng Gu (顾曦承) is currently a student from No. 2 High school of East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. He is the head of TV studio of his school and the head of EFZ Thoughts, a student association for those who enjoy sharing their sparkling ideas with others. He loves filmmaking and photographing. He also enjoys traveling and music, with which he combines his thoughts inside and share them out with his friends in EFZ Thoughts. He has been helping kids with Down syndrome to practice calligraphy as an assistant teacher since 2014. In the hope of raising people's awareness about minority groups like special kids, he directed a documentary about his students with other co-founders of EFZ Thoughts.

Hello, everybody! I'm Xicheng Gu from No. 2 High School of East China Normal University in Shanghai, China.
