I am a writer/director from Melbourne. I've worked on multiple short films, with Bloody Tradies as my largest undertaking yet.
Bloody Tradies is the love child of Aussie culture and B-Rate Horror. When approaching the concept, my writing partner Jack and I really wanted to lay into the absurd culture of Aussie tradies and the insane way we think they'd react if they were in the world of a horror film.
We went into production with the intent of keeping it real loose and throwing wind to the script and embracing improvisation as much as humanly possible. And we had the best time any of us have had on a set before. We knew we were potentially onto something when we had most of the crew holding back laughter during takes and just enjoying production of this short as much as possible.
