Writer Biography

Adam Lapallo is an award-winning screenwriter and novelist from Richmond, VA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema from the VCU in 2017 and has been working independently as a filmmaker, script supervisor, and screenwriter ever since. Lapallo won the Virginia Screenwriting Competition in 2017 and published his novel, "The Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows," in 2013.

Writer Statement

I've always been fascinated by the legend of the Richmond Vampire and the Church Hill tunnel collapse of 1925. "Blood Shepherd" is based on a previous feature screenplay I wrote, "The Crimson Legacy," which won awards at the Diabolical Horror Festival and the LIFE Festival. However, I didn't feel like 120 pages was enough to tell the story the way I wanted to, so I adapted it as an intended 8-episode miniseries.
