Blinded by the Scenery

Inspired by a William Burrows style ‘cutup’ approach to writing, the lyrics are captured from a variety of unlikely sources. Combining cursory, absurd articles from Daily Mail gossip columns with interviews from international aid workers and stories of war, the band arranged a collection of passages to construct a ‘Hero's Journey’ of redemption, recovery, self-discovery and love. Following on from the release of their 2nd single ‘Blinded by the Scenery’ at the beginning of the month, The Flavians return with their most ambitious and creative music video yet. With the help of award-winning director Chris Angel Walker only using an iPhone, some free time, zero budget and a little imagination, the band (with friends) act out a classic heist with old cars, private detectives, a magic briefcase and, a sprinkle of disaster.
