Bless you
"When I look at the moon, I’m frightened by the sound of the sand coming back to me.
I have asthma and I get out of breath very easily."
"It's a pity that you lost your life for calling the dust that I took in. If I am allowed to see you again I will make it up to you.”
To breathe is to believe.
Breath is a sacred gift that has been granted under a miraculous relationship with those inhabitants of that star. Breath speaks to the heart more than any words, an unspoken love letter, and I will be with you until the final breath.
This is the story of a girl, a star dweller, who looks through her window to the outside world where she cannot breathe.
A love story created by the movement of over 3,000 frames and countless dots representing sand particles. As per the Latin derivation or etymology of animation, anima, it speaks to the life force carried by wind or blown into something, a process replicated through the painstaking filming of each frame and particle of sand, one at a time.
Breathing reveals the invisible inner patterns of the heart, visible through the fog before our eyes, enabling us to see the distant horizon as far as three thousand miles away, and to share with someone we care about.
If I close my eyes slowly, believe in myself, gently put my hand to my chest and leap outside I am able to transcend the widow, or picture, frame.
