Blessing Alasan is a filmmaker who was born and raised in Nigeria, grew up in Federal Capital Territory (F.CT, Abuja).
Moved to Canada in 2015 to study Kinesiology and health studies at the university of Regina. She is currrently a student of Trebas Institu-Institute studying Film and Television Production and it set to graduate early 2022. Blessing independently produced and directed the short film “Love Against Race” which was selected by four festivals including Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF)
Blessing works part-time as a production assistant and associate producer on local independent film productions in Canada She always had a passion for theatre, playing different roles in school plays and church dramas as a kid. If there is anything she doesn’t mind doing 7 days a week, 365 days in a year. It is called " filmmaking". She enjoys cooking, travelling and networking. Her dream is to direct a Tv series in her home country Nigeria and win an Oscar.
