Director Biography - Pardeep Sahota

Pardeep Sahota is an award winning, London based writer, director and editor. He has collaborated in commercials and promos with a vast range of clients and world renowned brands earning industry awards along the way. He was part of the creative team that won the Gold PromaxBDA UK Creative Team of the Year 2017. Most recently, his award winning short film series Bleeding Art, was selected to play at the world renowned Slamdance Film Festival 2020 in Park City, Utah.

His obsession with filmmaking began at age ten, shooting his first short films on his father's VHS camera. He studied History at University College London, whilst also becoming Head of Production for the UCLU Film Society whose alumni include Christopher Nolan. Before sitting in the director’s chair himself, he worked for several years as director's assistant to British filmmaker, Gurinder Chadha, OBE.

Director Statement

Made on a shoestring budget of £250, this short film series proved that a little can stretch a long way if you get creative. I wrote and directed this film with favours from my creative friends. Using our combined resourcefulness we were able to create a short that is funny, inventive and insane. Just how we like it.
