Director Statement

Blame My Memory is a playful take on heartbreak and revenge, told with humor and confidence. I wanted to create a story that feels fun and empowering - exploring a side of ourselves we don’t act on in real life but sometimes wish we could.

This project was made mostly by women, for women, and brings strong Brazilian representation to the screen. Featuring a Brazilian artist and set in spaces that reflect our culture, the music video celebrates who we are while reclaiming the narrative with a bit of mischief.
