Blake James Reid (born in Miami, Florida in 2001) is a New York City-based filmmaker who began his career with short film Yamashiro LIVE! (2022), which premiered at the Kraine Theater in New York City and subsequently was selected as an exclusive for the independent cinema streaming platform NoBudge.

In addition to film, Reid has been a fashion model since 2017, modeling for high-end brands like Balenciaga, Gucci, and Saint Laurent.

Blake James Reid has collaborated with artists such as Slovenian multidisciplinary artist Nana Wolke and is currently developing a feature-film based off of his brother G.R. Van Every’s book BLAHSTO, to be published by Blurring Books in Fall 2025, set amongst Americana rehabs, an undeniably wild ride through the psyche of an addict across the inevitable jails, institutions, and death that become their lives.

His latest film is The Man Without Qualities, shot on location in New York City, explores mimetic behavior, deconstructing identity, and main character syndrome.
