Black is colorful -Roadmovie from Kenia to Namibia

Away from the glossy wildlife documentaries and the news about poverty and disasters, this film tells the stories of people who live and work along the roads between Kenya and Namibia. And in the process, a deeper understanding of the social contexts that characterise life in the region emerges.

Director Biography - Anna Sordel, Johann Sordel

Johann and Anna Sordel are both working at the Bavarian Broadcast Station as technicians for sporting events or as editors for on-air promotion. During several longterm vacations, they traveled to East Africa several times. Impressed by african life and the different people and stories they met, they decided to take the opportunity to make a film. But not a holiday or vacation film - more so about the small things beside the road and the african way of living and the connection to Europe, Colonialism and the big questions about the future.
