Black Sun
Lucio, a closed and grumpy boy, meets the cubist Ambra, thanks to his stepfather Leo, who is the owner of the nightclub where Ambra works. Between the two begins an affair that soon takes on rather deviant tones and behaviors: hiding behind rubber masks they go and rob small bars in the suburbs. During one of these robberies Lucio loses his mask and risks being recognized. The girl, who has always had a contemptuous behavior towards Lucio, insults him, calls him a puppet, and drives off leaving him on the road. But Lucio cannot suffer this affront; together with some friends he ponders revenge. A harsh revenge that perhaps only the intervention of Leo can prevent...

Gianfranco Tomei (Rome 1974) graduated in Modern Literature and after some work experiences in Rai Educational and Rai Cinema he embarked on an academic career. He is Researcher and Aggregate Professor in Social Psychology at the Sapienza University of Rome. He has published academic essays on Communication, and is an expert on post-World War II Italian Cultural Industry. He has been shooting short films and documentaries over the years, which often have bullying and juvenile deviance as themes. Themes that are also topics of his teaching and research. He has recently published a novel with a criminal and esoteric tone set in Rome entitled "Videorama". His first full lenght film is being planned.
