Black Daddy Music Video
Love, joy, vulnerability live in a space Black fathers make so their children can grow and be brilliant. The Center for Cultural Power is pleased to present “Black Daddy,'' a music video created by Oakland’s own Dame Drummer, Tommy Shepherd and their children Little Tommy, Little Dame, and Demi Sauce directed by Salvatore Fullmore. The “Black Daddy” music video uplifts true narratives around Black Fatherhood which celebrates the strength and commitment of Black Dads.
“Black Daddy” celebrates the power of art and music in strengthening bonds with our loved ones. To create as a family is to heal and celebrate life, our resilience, community and connection to home.
Every day Black fathers show up with an abundance of love, joy, and vulnerability for their children and create space for learning and creativity that is passed down through generations.

Salvatore Fullmore, got his start in the film industry in 2002. Combining his passion for storytelling and music, Fullmore then found himself at the head of the new wave of media having gone “viral” collaborating with Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa (to name a few) very early in their careers. That move would prove to be vital, as Sal can proudly say that his music videos have accumulated over 650 million views. Companies put their trust in Sal to tell important stories to a wider audience whether for fundraising or other marketing purposes. This has put Sal in an elite class and is why he has become one of the Bay Area’s most sought after filmmakers.
