Director Statement

As filmmakers, it is our goal to tell stories that resonate with audiences on a deep, emotional level. "Birthday," is a short film that explores the theme of loneliness and the impact of absentee parents on a child's life.

The film follows the story of a young boy who is forced to celebrate his birthday alone, neglected by his father who is too preoccupied with his own problems to be present for his son. As the day wears on, the boy's sadness and isolation become more and more palpable, culminating in a heart-wrenching moment of solitude as he blows out the candles on his cake.

Through this film, we hope to shed light on the often-overlooked issue of absentee parenting and its devastating effects on children. It is our hope that "Birthday" will inspire viewers to consider the ways in which they can be more present and supportive in the lives of young people they know.
