Director Biography - Daniel Ocampo

I was born in Manizales in 1987, right in the middle of the coffee core region in Colombia. Since I was a child I experienced a deep connection with nature. With my family, we hiked through the Andes mountain chains, camping, and fishing in remotes areas. Being in the wild became my passion, and that’s what I try to share through my camera. My involvement in several projects with social and environmental approaches have helped me develop my career and have deepened my belief in the importance of audiovisual products in promoting the acknowledgment of our rich and biodiverse region.
