Bikes and beyond
Based out of Squamish, BC, Laura Battista has come barreling onto the radar of the international enduro racing scene in recent years. The Australian native first discovered mountain biking while bike commuting for work when she was living in England. Realizing the trails were much more fun than the road, she joined a local women’s riding group and never looked back. Laura was drawn to the community and challenge of the racing scene, which eventually brought her to one of the world's ultimate mountain bike proving ground stop shut down roots, and charge on to the Enduro World Racing scene.
However, Laura’s time between the tapes is not the heart of her story –it’s her connection to the community. When she's not racing, Laura splits her time between backcountry adventures, digging days, guiding and coaching mountain biking, working as a vet tech, and paid-on-call firefighter.
Laura takes viewers beyond times and rankings, and into the life of an EWS free agent–not only the discipline, training, and hard work involved with racing at an elite level, but also what else can be packed into a life lived with passion.

I specialize in outdoors adventure filmmaking. From pre-production and story development through editing and delivery, I do it all and know each link of the chain intimately. Though I can fit into any role, I specialize in directing, cinematography, and director of photography roles. My life spent in BC's rugged Coast Mountains makes me at home filming in any environment.
