Welcome to the Big Fridge International Film Festival, a competition celebrating short films from around the world across a weekend in Central London.

Year after year, we endeavour to support filmmakers find distribution and funding for their next filmmaking ventures. Whether first-time artists or seasoned creators, our mission is to provide a platform to recognise your community, build connections within it, and importantly, form profitable relationships with producers, sponsors and talent.

We have built a small but exceptional network of industry professionals that will look at all films entered and will give business and commercial advice. There are countless success stories of filmmakers securing distribution for their films, launching them and their work into the marketplace. We have the people and skills in our professional team to make this happen. We can create a ripple for your movie to be seen around the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond. It all starts here by entering today.

Our Judging Panel consists of film industry professionals who have worked with Disney, Channel 4 and the BBC - they will also be in attendance at the festival.

It was a huge honour to win 'Best LGTBQ+ Film' with our film 'WHERE ARE ALL THE GAY SUPERHEROES?' at Big Fridge this year. Conor and the whole team were very communicative before and after the festival, and the event itself was a great night at the movies - what more could you ask for? We hope to be back again.

  • We were honoured to have our film shown by the Big Fridge. It was wonderful to see it screened at the Curzon and the standard of the festival was so high! A very enjoyable event.

An excellent festival that really champions indie and small budget filmmaking. There is a wonderful vibe to the festival and Connor and his team manage to create an absolutely affable vibe and curate some stunning and provocative films. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Connor and the team at Big Fridge International Film Festival Jan '25 for recognising 'Holding On' short documentary and awarding it 2 semi finalist positions, Best Score for composer Eva Abraham and Best Short Documentary for me, Emma Croft. And for giving it a lovely review. Sadly I wasn't able to attend in person this time but look forward to attending the next. Great communication from Connor and a very professional team. Thank you.
