With over 200 stickers to her name and a collection of dozens of CDs and records for literally no reason, Kaitlyn loves to collect and take the time to appreciate the small things. From an early age, she treasured the stories and photo albums of friends and family alike, and continuously obsessed over a variety of elements from pop culture. Corwin now studies film at the Florida State University, inspired and adamant to help the little voices share their big stories.
In a small southern town best known for its strawberries and Christianity, Kiran sometimes felt that he didn't quite fit in with his fellow community. From a young age, Kiran realized the significance of humor and entertainment, how it brought his peers together and connected all. He turned to the local movie theater for an escape from his simple community and started telling jokes to anyone who would listen, enjoying the happy reactions of the listeners. Deciding that engineering wasn't truly what he wanted to do, Kiran focused on storytelling and headed to Florida State University to study the one thing that brought him to escape, film. Excited to learn more and work with fellow filmmakers, this Muslim kid looks forward to what the future may hold.
The documentaries we saw on Bigfoot growing up focus so much on whether or not it exists, trying to prove this existence with dramatic hunts in the woods, and often tend to neglect the eyewitnesses and investigators that have kept these stories alive through the years. Because the unknown and the legendary have always been a fascination of ours, we were inspired as filmmakers to look beyond normal mundane life to find stories that have their own unique footing in the world, and focusing on the people who have seen and studied Bigfoot seemed like the perfect place to start.
