Bianca is a writer & director who lives in Berlin
Born to American parents, Bianca was raised in a small town outside Munich, Germany which led to her multicultural identity as both North American and European. Having started out in the performing Arts in London, Bianca went on to study Art & cultural studies in Amsterdam. It was only slightly later in life, during a workshop in Paris that she discovered Film, and moved to Berlin to dedicate her career to the creation of moving images.
Since completing her education at the Art-on-the-Run Filmschool (former Kaskeline Akademie), where she wrote and directed 2 short films, she has created a third film that is currently debuting at festivals. She has also written a feature “The Bust of Antoninus Pius”. which was nominated for the ‘Maisons de Scénaristes’ selection at the Cannes Film Festival and which currently seeks a producer.
Described as a mix of Woody Allen’s Humor with Sophia Coppola’s style, Bianca seeks to make her audiences reflect on life’s small but important things. She does this mainly through light and oftentimes funny stories that however contain deeper meaning. As cultural mut herself, her stories often seek to bridge across more than one culture or language, lending to a unique blend of American Storytelling and European Cinema.
