Director Statement

I have always dreamt of being a film maker. I used to not just watch films, but study them. I was in a group which always researched about film-making. I was part of creative team that did celebrity interviews for a famous Kannada Facebook page.
"Bhaasa" is my first foray into short films. It tries to touch upon a less talked about aspect leading up to a marriage. The difficulties that an Indian girl deals with when she gets married is looked with a different perspective in this short. In turn, the film tries to look at the aspect of love in a new angle.
