Kohsheen Raina is an aspiring filmmaker from Pune who looks forward to work on path breaking independent films. She believes filmmaking would give her the opportunity to tell stories of the people who can’t voice themselves. Her first venture into films was through her documentary ‘Escaping FOMO’ which she wrote, directed and edited. She aims to continue crafting films that inspire empathy, driven by authentic storytelling and a desire to make a lasting difference through her work.
"Beyond the Walls" is a visual journey into the vibrant yet unnoticed world of street art in Mumbai. It is a documentary film about how artists find a canvas on the walls of the city.
The street art is not just about painting the walls but giving a voice to the people. Through this film, we weave a narrative with the stories of the artists behind the art beautifying the city. "Beyond the Walls" takes us into the complex lives of the street artist.
As the director, I hope to inspire people to look closer around them, appreciate the art and the stories hidden within the walls. It gives a way to see Mumbai not only as a metropolis but as a living canvas where creativity exists on every wall and tells the stories beyond these walls.
