Bethany Marleigh is an award-winning director and screenwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She recently graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelors Degree in Creative Media Production. In 2023, she directed a 48-hour Film Project submission, which was nominated for three awards and won Best Student Film.
At 15 years old, Bethany wrote and self-published a novel titled, 'Wind Walker', which recieved an Honorable Mention at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2019. Bethany has worked as a production assistant on Netflix's feature film, 'The Pale Blue Eye'.
She is inspired by directors such as Taika Waititi and Greta Gerwig. Bethany is motivated to create films that explore difficult themes such as mental health. Her goal is to create films that leave a positive impact on society.
