Hadley Hillel, a native Seattleite, has been making films since the age of 7. In 2008, at the age of 12, one of his short films gained recognition and was shown in the Northwest Film Forum Children’s Film Festival. Now attending Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, Hadley has written and directed many short films which have been shown in national and international film festivals, have won more than twenty jury and audience awards and were recently nominated for two student Emmys. Additionally, Hadley was awarded two merit awards in the Cinematic Arts category of the NFAA Young Arts Competition and the 2013 ‘On Your Way’ Student Scholarship Award for Filmmaking. He also despises his mother’s rat Chihuahua and has killed it off in at least four films thus far.
