The Bergen International Film Festival of NJ showcases top independent films from filmmakers, as well as new talent. The diverse array of films, selected by a committee, includes features and shorts from all genres, as well as documentaries and screenplays. The festival is hosted in Bergenfield New Jersey. The festival will kick off in style and spirit with a red carpet and after party, as well as plenty of opportunity for networking with other filmmakers, actors and attendees. We harness an atmosphere of community and encouragement to support each other in the film arts.

The festival includes an awards ceremony and after party, to offer opportunities for interacting and networking with other filmmakers, actors, and film festival goers.

After each screening block, there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers. Following the last block of films, is the awards ceremony. Followed by an after party.

We will hold an awards ceremony in the theater, presenting trophies to the winners. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Audience Choice.

  • What an honor for “The Della Morte Sisters” to be part of Bergen Int'l Film Fest and what an absolute thrill to be awarded Best Film. Larry Rosen and team truly love film and filmmakers--they are warm, welcoming and host a wonderful festival. From the red carpet interviews and screening to the after-party networking, we had a blast. Thank you!

When the festival location got moved due to a theater closing during COVID, I was initially concerned about the quality of the screening. I was bringing a crowd and promised a movie theater. My fears were immediately put to rest. Larry and company had set up high quality projection and sound in a private screening room below an amazing venue. Our film The Time in Between the Seconds has been making the festival rounds for some time, and the picture and sound quality here was among the best. That will only get better when the fest moves back to the theater shortly. Networking and hospitality were also top notch. They make you feel like family.

This festival was great! Great communication and it seemed well run by attentive and caring programmers and directors. My only disappointment would be not being able to play the highest-quality version of our film with a surround sound mix as the screening did not take place in a theater, but I understand that this was a product of the times and is not something the fest would do in other years. This is definitely a festival worth submitting to and I would happily do so again.
