Saint Louis has been highly influential in film history. Escape from NY, White Palace, and most recently, Up in the Air have all been shot in this great city. To honor the tradition of film and its place in our community, we are proud to announce the first annual BENTON PARK FILM FESTIVAL.

Saint Louis is the perfect setting to celebrate the diversity of independent Cinema. The Benton Park Film Festival is set to offer great venues, featuring 6 viewing halls at the Historic Lemp Grand Hall.

Our aim is to merge a cultural love for films. Whether you are an aspiring student filmmaker or a seasoned industry professional, this festival is for you. There is no early bird fee for residents of Illinois or Missouri. All finalist entries will be screened at our viewing location and are eligible for awards and prizes.

We want to make the Benton Park Film Festival an integral part of cinema in St. Louis and feature quality work from a diverse pool of creators. All films will be accepted so long as they adhere to the criteria listed below.

In its first year, BPFF put on an excellent fest, with an attractive venue, enthusiastic and supportive organizers, and a strong community feel. The selection of films was quite good, and there was a nice turnout. I attended and had a great time!

I wasn't at the festival show, but in communication, by e-mail and fb it was one of the most pleasant of festivals. I think it's an important part of organizing the fest. Thanks for the screening!

  • It's unreal to me that this is their first year because of how buttoned up, polished, and organized the entire process was. I had so much fun at Benton Park and the staff was so welcoming. They treated me like family. The films were absolutely amazing. I was completely blown away by the talent that not only had their films playing but also who showed up to support the other filmmakers. I laughed, I cried, and I was grateful to be there. I'll be going there every year whether I have entered a film or not. If you go, no matter where you came from, you will meet your brand new, St. Louis family. I promise you that.
