Benjamin Collins has been igniting the imagination of viewers for some time now. He has an innate ability to really think outside of the box and craft stories that are oozing with originality. As a completely self-taught writer, he got his education from studying real films. He meticulously analyzed what worked and what didn’t to be able to make scripts that push boundaries whilst still being accessible to a wide audience. The fresh, young writer finds inspiration in the aspects of movies that he dislikes. Constantly striving to do better than the writers that came before him. The result is a consistent tone that’s authentic and dazzlingly unique. Growing up in East ST. Louis, IL, the artist always struggled figuring out what he wanted to do with his life. Writing runs in his family with his Aunt even noting that he may have the family “curse” of having to write. He tried numerous jobs from serving in the U.S army to working at the post office. Nothing really stuck though. It wasn’t until he started writing that he discovered his true calling. He realized he had an uncanny ability to really tell a story. Something that seeps through in his rich narrative-driven work that hooks the audience from start to finish. He’s attended SIUE, SWIC, and Ranken, with many of his peers and family always saying he had a gift for storytelling. PASSION QUALITY EXPERTISE.
