Beneath

Beneath was collaborative acrobatic showcase & research project headed by Cirque Du Soleil artists Nathan Price & Isis Clegg-Vinnell. Covid Nathan & Isis were working on the development of a new circus company in the UK with a view to opening their first show at the Edinburgh Festival. Due to Covid restrictions the festival did not go ahead which put the project on indefinite hold. We shot this at Sugar Studios, London to showcase the work in progress.

Director Biography - Roger Robinson

Roger a circus producer, creative director and circus consultant with a passion for photography & film. From the age of 17 he spent 10 years touring the world as a circus acrobat, starting in the 80’s then moved on to becoming a circus agent then producer & director in the early 90’s

Roger is regarded as one of the UK’s leading specialist movement directors (acrobatic & aerial), creative directors & technical consultants for theatre/film/tv. During his 40 years in the entertainment industry he’s always been a passionate photographer & film maker, firstly documenting and editing the work of his production company (Acrobat Productions Ltd) and in recent years has dedicated more time to working on personal creative projects in photography & film with a passion for circus, dance.. and natural history.
