Bendir Lalla

Ahmed Bendir (Daf) notices a hanging drum on his father's library wall in the family home. Curiosity drives him to question his father about the reason behind the presence of this instrument among the books and art pieces. Through his father's response, we understand that this Bendir (drum) belongs to Ahmed's grandmother, who was a member of a prestigious all-female band in the city of Salé. This becomes more evident through the testimonies of women who knew Ahmed's grandmother closely and witnessed her involvement in the band. Ahmed is determined to give the Bendir a new existence and provide it with another chance to thrive within the realm of the all-female band's art in the city of Salé.
