Ben N. Leenen was born in 2004 in Germany and has started to make films in 2020. His first short film "The deep damage of a steel factory" won the "Bundeswettbewerb Fremdsprachen" in his home state Hesse.
The following short films "Uncertain Conversation in Room" and "COCKROACH CASCADE" were both featured at the "exground festival" in Wiesbaden.
Even though not being selected, his short film "Moral Decay" was praised by the Hollywood Shortfest for its "interesting concept exploring morals to the extreme point".
Visualizing his projects with almost no equipment and literally no budget has taught him a certain rigor and precission that makes him not only a very strict but also a very efficient director. His screenplays circle around the abyss of human emotions with a mixture of doleful compassion and ruthless brutality.
Since 2024 he is studying Motion Pictures at the Hochschule Darmstadt right after having completed his first no budget feature film "Killing Dogs with Passion".
