This will be the very first year of the Bellevue College Animation & Film Festival. Showcasing a curated program of BC student and alumni work as well as the latest trends in animation worldwide.

We are accepting submissions from Bellevue College students and alumnis ONLY. They must be credited as talent or crew in the film. Entries will be curated to be screened alongside an international animation program, curated by the festival director.

For our first year, we will have Drew Christie, a BC alumnus, as our guest filmmaker.

Bellevue College Animation and Film Festival will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 2016. It will be FREE and hosted in the Carlson Theater at Bellevue College from 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM.

Submissions with no affiliation with Bellevue College will be IMMEDIATELY disqualified.

We ARE NOT accepting international submissions. The international film selection is being curated privately by our director.

- A Bellevue College student/alumni MUST be associated with the project submitted, credited as talent or crew.
- We are currently accepting only short films. Films cannot exceed more than 20 minutes in length.
- Narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, and student work are all eligible for submission.
- Submissions in other languages must have English subtitles.


- We are not requiring a submission fee.
- Must fill out the synopsis as well as bio.
- In the specific field provided, must specify how a BC alumni/student was involved in the film.
- Submissions will not be accepted after April 15th.
- You MUST provide a link to download of the film (ie: OneDrive, Google Drive, Drop Box, etc.)

By submitting your film, you allow the film festival to screen your film as well as use up to 10% of your film to use in promotions.


Final programming will be decided by the screening committee.

All entrants will be notified via FilmFreeway.

Accepted films will be notified on April 30th.


Accepted films MUST send/give us a copy of the film with the criteria below:
- Quick time file
- H.264 compression
- File name should include film name and directors name. For example


We will be using the synopsis and bio that is written in the submission, but will also be asking for a still from the film.
