Beirut Queer Film Festival is an underground film festival for Queer cinema in the heart of Beirut, to promote for tolerance, acceptance, human rights and for freedom of choice.
BQFF was launched by a group of filmmakers who believe that cinema is the place we can discuss all our differences, a place were we are all special and unique; and this festival is about the uniqueness of each one of us.
Filmmakers meet at BQFF in an open environment for discussions and networking, to speak about their life in art and about their ambitions and dreams in cinema.

Rules and Regulations:
1- FILMS PRODUCED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2018 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSION.
2- THE FESTIVAL SUPPORTS THE TRAVEL COST OF DIRECTORS OF ALL SELECTED INTERNATIONAL FILMS TO BEIRUT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FESTIVAL SCREENINGS AND ACTIVITIES. (Conditions apply)
3- Filmmakers are invited to submit their original work to Beirut Queer Film Festival (BQFF) for the listed categories and as per the assigned duration of each category.
4- Beirut Queer Film Festival (BQFF) holds the right to:
• Select the film that is qualified to be in the official selection of the festival
• Use the selected films for trailers and publicity usage
• Screen the winning films in other related events inside Lebanon, and recommend the winning films to other international film festivals that collaborate with BQFF after the approval of the filmmakers.
5- Submission fees are non refundable and non reimbursable under any circumstances; BQFF does not reimburse any submission fees for films who are not selected for the festival program, or who withdrew their submissions at any time.
6- BQFF retains the right to accept or decline any film, for whatever reason, without any explanation.
7- Applicant admits that he/she is authorized to submit the film, being the rights-holder or authorized representative of the film.
8- BQFF receives exhibition copy in QuickTime 1080p HD 8 bit uncompressed or Apple ProRes file or equivalent via a downloadable link.
9- All non-English speaking films must have adequate English subtitles.
10- Screening fees must be declared prior to or upon submission. If a screening fee is only indicated after the official selection has been announced, the Festival retains the right to revoke the film's acceptance.
