I draw from my southern roots, growing up gay, the stereotypes and judgements combined with laughter to offer access to healing through storytelling. I wrote this picturing Katey Sagal or Allison Janney as the strong female lead Mom, Leslie Jordan as the male lead gay Uncle, Demi Lovato as the female lead Daughter. I wrote the script so that any talent could play the roles based on characters, not ethnicity because I wanted a project to combine multiple races together in one show.
